The Mayor of the City of Skopje, Danela Arsovska, together with the Mayor of the Municipality of Butel, Darko Kostovski, and the director of PE Parks and Greenery, Angele Sotirovski, inspected the newly realized green area on Butelska Street in the settlement Radisani in the Municipality of Butel.
The long-term illegal landfill is now a new green area of over 3000 square meters, in the first phase horticulturally arranged about 1496 square meters, and in the second final phase horticulturally arranged another 1500 square meters.
– Instead of a long-standing illegal landfill, we have arranged a new green area of over 3000 square meters for the citizens. In this first phase, over 200 evergreen and deciduous seedlings have been planted in this area. We continue with the realization of arranging and raising new green areas and green corridors in Skopje – said Arsovska.
– The new park for the citizens of the municipality of Butel contains new hiking trails, a special irrigation system, evergreen, and deciduous trees, new summer houses, and facilities for the youngest. The football field that is in this move has been completely reconstructed – said Kostovski. For the complete arrangement of this green area, the teams of PE “Streets and Roads” in the middle of the park built a pedestrian path, a protective fence, and protective posts.
The City of Skopje, together with the PE “Parks and Greenery” and the municipalities, continue with activities for arranging new green areas and forming green corridors through the settlements in Skopje.
