Today, on the day of spring, the mayor Arsovska together with the director of ZOO Skopje Kristijan Stamenov, and some of the councilors from the City of Skopje participated in the beginning of the spring action for greening the botanical garden. The employees of ZOO Skopje in coordination with PE Parks and Greenery work together in an action for cleaning and revitalization of the botanical garden which in the past four years was not functional, ie visitors did not have the opportunity to walk in that part of the zoo.
“The Botanical Garden covers 20,000 m2, the irrigation system is being renewed and 200 new seedlings are ready for planting. The garden will receive new urban equipment, and the reconstruction of the wooden bridges is planned so that this space will be available again for visitors “, said mayor Arsovska.
In the coming period, the City of Skopje, together with the Skopje Zoo, will implement a series of activities that will improve the conditions of the animals’ habitats, as well as the infrastructure that will provide better conditions for the visitors of the Skopje Zoo.
