Within this urban space, there will be a summer open terrace, where smaller events can be organized and the citizens can be socialized. In that direction, the park is intended for children aged two to 14 years. The complete arrangement of the park is an investment of Skopje City Mall worth over 500,000 euros, and the newly arranged space is owned and owned by the Municipality of Karpos. From there, Skopje City Mall will take care of the ongoing maintenance of the park and the children’s playground, while the citizens will be able to use them for free.
Besides the representatives of the management of Skopje City Mall, the Mayor of the Municipality of Karpos, Stevcho Jakimovski, also attended the opening ceremony, emphasizing that he was particularly pleased with the fact that this shopping center was built during his previous term.
– I firmly believe in this project, because the people of Karpos and Skopje can not imagine urban living without Skopje City Mall, because this shopping center has a “soul”. His spirit will be enriched with this new children’s playground, which is a complete donation from the management of City Mall. In the interest of our youngest residents, we as a local government unblocked the existing legal procedures and obstructions as soon as we could, in order to put into use this beautiful corner for recreation, which we will all be proud of – added Jakimovski.
The main attraction in the recreational park is the playground which is built according to world trends with a specially designed climbing tower, which offers a wide range of exciting activities for the youngest citizens. The climber, which is 8.5 meters high, is built according to the most modern European standards, composed of complex shapes that are arranged in the shape of the structure of DNA. The content is enriched with a steel climbing structure that can be climbed through a three-dimensional net, made of ropes inside the tower, which at the same time provides adventure, and learning and encourage children to overcome obstacles.
Currently across Europe, there is a growing trend of creating playgrounds of this type, because they affect the development of psychomotor functions in children, following the example of stimulating climbing trees.
